This personalized experience, owned and operated by equine professional, Tracy Piper, allows you to be hands-on every step of the way from grooming to feeding to trail riding. Activities will be adjusted based on demonstrated skill level. Ready to saddle up?

This unique experience is personalized for each guest based on skill level and interest. Learn more about horse husbandry by grooming, brushing and feeding the horses or choose to spend more time in the saddle roaming the Acres’ gorgeous trails and fields. The choice is yours.

How much does the experience cost?

The horseback riding experience is $60 per 1-hour session, with the possibility to increase your time.
FREE horse riding is included with a 2 night stay!

Who can saddle up?

Anyone 6 years old and up can take the reins with us!

How many people can you accommodate?

We can accommodate up to 4 guests or 2 beginner riders. Please call ahead to confirm availability.

Do you want to stay and enjoy the property for the day?

Call us and for $10 a person you can play for the rest of the day at Hiwassee Acres.

I’m not very comfortable on a horse. What safety measures are in place?

We understand that not everyone is a veteran rider. When you arrive for the experience, our guide will assess your comfort level around the horses and recommend the best course of action. Guests can stay on the ground to feed and brush the horses, ride on a lead in a small area or progress to a guided tour of the trails and fields. Please call us directly for further questions and concerns.

What if my experience is canceled due to bad weather?

If we need to cancel for bad weather or other unforeseeable events, we will do our best to find another time during your stay. However, if that is not possible, your booking fee will be refunded.
